Thanks to All

Much appreciation to Little Miss Attila, Stacy McCain, Protein Wisdom, POWIP and others for correcting a silly man and striking a non-satirical blow for satire.

I thought your post was funny and that there was truth in jest to it. As to that old bellows, for some reason, I thought of it as a bit like the witch carping at Churchill's drinking one night (no, don't get delusions of grandeur) and C's retort that "Yes, Madam, I am drunk, but in the morning I shall be sober and you will still be ugly."

Thanks, Retriever.

The other Churchill one was where Lady Astor said: "Winston, if you were my husband, I'd poison your tea."

Churchill: "Madam, if you were my wife I'd drink it."
